Matthew Matt James, born on December 5, 1991, in North Carolina. He is the child of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. He has an Nigerian father as well as a Caucasian mother. The father of his is Nigerian while his mother is caucasian american. He was a graduate of Sanderson High School in 2010 He then attended Wake Forest University, where earned a bachelor's degree in Economics in 2015. James became famous after he appeared on screen for his debut as a reality show star in The Bachelorette. James was picked in 2020 to be the next bachelor in The Bachelor season 25, becoming the show's first African American male star. The show debuted later in that year. James was the ideal candidate to the job because his height is tall, handsome and well-rounded and funny. He also has a great sense of humor. Rachael Krkconnell was selected as James' partner for the entire season. In season 30, (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, James competed alongside dancer Arnold. James as well as Arnold came 12th.
